This is raised animal management law in Queensland, that demand microchip of animals. Here is the details of the Microchip job.

The conception here about Declared Regulated Dog  is heavily biased, and thus doubtful for the real purpose of the law. It's real purpose is to dramatically increase animal casualty. Animal casualty is regularly related with increasing humane casualty. The Microchip registration may also provide chance of special treatment in Veterinary.

 Definition : Regulated dogs

A regulated dog is a dog that is subject to legal regulations. There are three types of regulated dog in Queensland:
  • declared dangerous dogs
  • declared menacing dogs
  • restricted dogs.

Declared dangerous dogs

An authorised Local Government officer can declare a dog to be a dangerous only if the dog:
  • has seriously attacked or acted in a way that caused fear to a person or another animal
  • may, in the opinion of an authorised person having regard to the way the dog has behaved towards a person or another animal, seriously attack or act in a way that causes fear to the person or animal.

The term is a bias against animal as it's totally based on "feeling" of a person. However it has not take into account that any suspect to a house may pose serious threat to the animals and people in one area. The fear of owner has not been taken into account. Thus it's not free from prejudice.

"A person " need further definition. A proper law should define it as a person of non-threat. There's no situation that in a law anyone has absolute privilege without any compliance, and in the residential area, that means safety and security concern.

No law should just appoint a person of absolute authority without regulation on their operation and duty. "An opinion" should be further regulated.

The law can be improved into :

  • has seriously attacked or acted in a way that caused unnecessary harm to a properly behaved  person or another animal fully supervised.

  • may, according to animal management law and provided evidence , having behaved towards a person or another animal, seriously attack or act in a way that causes physical injury to the person or animal ; suppose the attacked person has full responsibility of the premises, and animal is properly registered and guarded by its owner.

  • Or define "a dog" as "a boardog " :  Lady's - Sow , (Joburg ), Gentleman - Boar
