Orianthi Panagaris is perhaps best known for being Michael Jackson's lead guitarist for his ill-fated This Is It concert series.
(born 22 January 1985), better known simply as Orianthi, was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and is of Greek and Australian descent.
She has been playing in bands since the age of 14 in England and in France.At the age of 15, she turned her focus to writing songs and so (???) began her professional career. Carlos Santana invited Orianthi to get up and jam with him at soundcheck then later asked if she would join him on stage that night to jam at his Adelaide concert, Memorial Drive on 30 March 2003.
A soundcheck is an activity that takes place before a concert, when the performer and the sound crew run through a portion of performance on the venue's sound system to make sure that the sound in the venue's "Front Of House" (FOH) and stage monitor sound systems is clear and at the right volume and tonal frequencies. Soundchecks are especially important for popular and other musical genres that use heavily-amplified PA systems; and is crucial to the success of such events.
The sound check should start with the rhythm section, and then go on to the melody section and vocalists.Some acts will do multi-track audio recordings of one or more soundchecks. Those recordings will be used as the sound sources for future soundchecks, to reduce the need for the performers to be present. Such 'virtual soundchecks' are also sometimes used to tune the PA system to accommodate the acoustics of a new venue.
After technical adjustments have been completed by the sound crew, the performers leave the stage and the audience is admitted. In other instances, soundchecks take place in front of the audience, and can be followed immediately by the performance itself.
Independently released Violet Journey in 2005, said to be composing all the material, contributing guitar, vocals and drums on most cuts, produced and mixed the final product at home studio, Orianthi is able to relocated to Los Angeles, signed with Geffen Records in late 2006 and struck a management deal with 19 Entertainment.
Orianthi has played with Prince, made a commercial for Panasonic HD, featured in the song Now or Never for Bratz: The Movie, promoted as eco-friendly acoustic guitars, and opened for Steve Vai in the US.
Orianthi appeared at the 51st annual Grammy Awards as Carrie Underwood's lead guitarist. Michael Jackson's management reached out to Orianthi for an audition for This Is It.
This Is It was a planned series of fifty concerts by Michael Jackson to be held at The O2 Arena in London. They were scheduled to begin in July 2009 and continue through to March 2010. However, with all concerts sold out, Jackson died less than three weeks before the first concert date.
On June 25, 2009, American singer Michael Jackson died after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Cardiac arrest is the cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively, different from (but may be caused by) a heart attack, where blood flow to the muscle of the heart is impaired.Medical personnel can refer to an unexpected cardiac arrest as a sudden cardiac arrest or SCA. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said he found Jackson in his room, not breathing, but with a faint pulse, and that he administered CPR to no avail.
She played and sang at Jackson's memorial, globally televised live on 7 July 2009. She appears in the film Michael Jackson's This Is It, which chronicles the rehearsals for the tour and shows her and Michael on stage. She presented an award at the 2009 American Music Awards, which Jackson won posthumously.
In regard to being handpicked by Jackson, she stated:
"I don’t know exactly why he picked me, but he watched my YouTube videos and loved them. He had his choice of guitar players, but I came in and played the ‘Beat It’ solo for him. Afterward he was so happy he got up and grabbed my arm and started walking up and down the stage area with me. He said, ‘Can you play once for me?’ and hired me that night. I wish he was still around. He made me believe in myself more, and I learned so much. Going into it, I thought it would be all about playing guitar solos. But the majority of it was playing chords and funky rhythms."
You know what I have wondered why these girls has to claim themselves as song-writer to be professional since fucking 15 years old. As I certainly feel every position can be amatuer. The ones confident will not need such lift, the ones serious will study hard. Only the ones keen on success that they are not up too, eager to claim and do more.
ReplyDeleteThen I wondered my past experince in the composition department when I was 18, and all the trouble and illness since then, that I wondered if jealous even started more than ten years ago, when I had no conscious. As my friend Grace, during last two years in the Uni, she started to date more people and always have trouble among two boyfriends. They were all hotel attendants. And I remembered Grace gigged in Airport Hotel for quite long time.Then she named herself Grace, and as a matter of fact, a relationship with Graceland. When I was 17, just admitted by the composition department, I rememebered Grace said she had considerable appetite, and she felt hunger 1 hour after meal!
Is there a trap and jealous from these fucking girls for more than 10 years!

Isnt' it a debt of more than 10 years. And, do not say that a teenager is definitely naive and pure !! For the parents today, I can only suggest do NOt really demand a kid to be sociable, as the networking may not be favourable at all.

It's the year 1994-1995, Grace started to make boyfriends. The first one was attendant in Airport Hotel. Since then she had frequently get into complexity of triangle love, which at first time she performed very naive and cried, so I helped her to get her ex back. But a year later there's a second time, this one was nearly put into jail, because of taking thousands yuan worth of wine home- he's a bar attendant. Grace said "he's smart, that's why..." Then she bribed the jury. But the story I look today, may question if she's really that helpful. And she turned herself immediately to the first... This time I've seen how she treated her closest, and felt cold. As I thought she actually cared no one but herself, how about me then... So I frankly told her ex, as the boy trusted me a lot. I thought the trouble was excessive and unatural... she had sex with the bar attendant and at the same time told the first, I witness this and questioned her if she wish to continue with the first or not and I was angry with that, as she's unwilling at the sametime to break up with the first. In fact, today I will say , I said it right, I may have saved some people when I rethink about their positions in job. Not only them I have saved, but more. But that's the time she gained advance in her career, and my cat strangely dissapeared, and half dead . When it's not going so smooth, turned the anger to my cat???

The reason I wrote these now, as it's story of my Uni, from 17- 24. Things happen without full notice, and friend was around. In fact, my exprince is that the most dangerous are not enemies times stronger or powerful, but friends with evil heart and freindly face. But I can smell it. As I always felt even though when we were closest friend, I had difficult to really connect with her, but I always felt her have kind of conscious of poccession somehow... I only have to advice the youth today that they should follow their heart, and do not hang around with people they don't really get along just being sociable. As there's more possibility from time spent together.

ReplyDeleteThen I remembered , when we're in high school, a teacher brought us books of Jesus in cartoon, and invited us to church activities. I read several pages and found it's drowsy, so I rejected it. Nowdays, when I looked back- What a godly thing such rejection to church is at the time!Butthe time I consulted Yijin was 16 years old, though I bet I didn't really fully understood it, but I took what I thought valuable and it worked greatly for me... I also remembered when we were 20, during a short travel, she offered me and her first boyfriend seafood. I rejected, and the boy was sick immediately, and she was looking for medicine and eagerly attended him...She also performed in a church, where electric piano replaced organ. She invited me to attend ball room dance, once make my face up with her cosmetics before a performance, and introduced me to another hotel attendance. - All these activities I felt sick immediately. That's why I say we didn't have real connection, as I never liked dancing, karaoke, make-ups , even clothes, and conscious social life... I used to be a man right? Funny these things never interested me, so the table was never able to reach me. Didn't I avoid it just with simple instinct of a boy , haha... but it was 'abnormal' as a girl in her eyes :Pwhich I couldn't help... further lots things people regard as important,and I was naturally numb at. And I questioned myself if I was normal. Later I felt numb even in transcript, certificates etc... what a questionable boy/girl I was... :P Isn't it such simply a godly thing, if I look with the eyes of today...
